Adam York is an independent filmmaker from central, North Carolina. He is best know for his directing work on the run away hit, “The Devil's Lettuce.” A sequel entitled DL2 - Edible Evils is currently in post production and set to be released in 2019.
Adam’s other directing credits include, the action based pilot for the educational sci-fi-series, Scienstars, The Multi-Award winning suspense tale “Closing Time” and the bizarre supernatural story “The Presence- A metaphor.”
Adam frequently works with co-collaborators, writer David Harlequin, and cinematographer Matt Ketchum, and AD extrodinare Nev Kelly. In post production Adam works with editor Kevin Helms, and editor/VFX coordinator John Dondero, and composers Brad Lafrazia and Michael Penley. No director will ever be successful without the people who can give him or her that perfect take.
Adam now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife Melanie, and their remarkable seven year old daughter, Maggie. Adam is a theatrical lighting designer and production electrician. He is a graduate of Catawba college and proud member of the stagehands union IATSE - 322. Adam would like to thank his parents for every bedtime story they ever read him.
